What is shamanistic art? Shamanistic Art is a form of spiritual art. That takes us back to the elder gods. These are not Gods of the modern era. Painted like chocolate boxes. Sweet things for sweet times. But they are pieces that invoke Gods from elder times. Real Gods that work in difficult times. Gods that take the broken, the lost, the discarded and find within them something wondrous.

One of the finest examples of shamanistic art is the nest of nails. It is a piece you can meditate on, that can unleash your deeper being. Go ahead, look at it. You see an egg in a nest of nails. The egg is fragile, the nest protective, yet cruel. When the egg breaks and the fledgling emeges it enters a world that is safe and dangerous... Safety can be dangerous, the restrictive can keep one safe... To claim freedom one has to fight the circle of love... But does the discussion happen at an intellectual level? No, the Nest of Nails grips one at a primal level, at an energetic level. And can catapult one beyond the normal...
